Stefan Messer new President of European Industrial Gases Association
Stefan Messer, owner and CEO of the Messer Group, was designated as the new President of the EIGA (European Industrial Gases Association) on 1 November 2007. His term of office will run until the end of December 2009.
The Industrial Gases Association, which is based in Brussels, represents nearly all the European companies that manufacture and sell technical, medical and food gases. The association members work together to achieve the highest possible standards of safety and environmental protection in the production, transport and application of gases.
Thus, among other activities, the European Industrial Gases Association annually awards gold, silver and bronze "EIGA Safety Awards" to its members.
