HYCUT® is a type of flame cutting method, and its most distinctive feature is that it generates no carbon dioxide. Unlike acetylene, propane, or other hydrocarbon fuel gases, HYCUT® uses hydrogen as its fuel. The only product of hydrogen combustion is water, with no carbon dioxide produced or emitted. This means the cutting process is far more environmentally friendly and sustainable. HYCUT®has these additional advantages:
• High flame temperature, fast cutting speed;
• Quick preheating and hole piercing;
• Smooth cutting surface, less oxide, easy to remove slag, and less melting collapse on the upper edge of steel plate;
• No carbon increase phenomena, thus no risk of hardening cracking;
• Long flame length, able to efficiently cut steel plate more than 300mm thickness;
• Dim flame color, best suitable for flame straightening, flame brazing and oxyfuel welding;
• Reducing NOx emission, good for environment-protection;
• Less noise level comparing to traditional fuel gas, improving working conditions;
• High pressure supplying mode, therefore difficult to occur flashback, safer than acetylene and propane;
• Weak heat radiation, helpful to extend the service life of cutting nozzle.
